Ring does not have a position statement on climate change, but in her statement on the environment, she discusses the importance of transitioning from harmful fossil fuels to 100% clean energy in order to protect the planet for future generations.
It’s time for us to catch up with the rest of the world and implement a transition from harmful fossil fuels to 100% clean, renewable, sustainable, and safe energy sources. I support HR-3671, the Off Fossil Fuels for a Better Future Act. This bill proposes an action plan of workforce development, tax breaks, rebates, and assistance for all Americans to help protect our planet from dirty fossil fuels. We can create jobs, save our planet, and move our country forward in technology, by implementing 100% clean energy by 2035.

Our political leaders should be doing everything they can to protect our environment and the residents of Coastal Georgia. We must preserve our 100 miles of coastline, sea isles, wetlands, and waterways as well as ensuring clean water, air, and land for every person in this district. This means strict adherence to laws that protect our environment and our residents, and swift punative action for violators. We cannot allow funding to be cut for regulating agencies and we cannot allow large corporations to profit at the expense of the health of the people of Georgia and our environment.

At an April 22nd candidate forum, Ring voiced her support for putting a stop to offshore drilling.
Endorsement from Sustainable Politician Project
While Lisa is new to politics and therefore doesn’t have a voting record to look at, she has pledged her support to the HR-3671 Act, also known as the Off Fossil Fuels for a Better Future Act. HR-3671 wants to stop oil and gas projects in the United States so that we can protect our water from fracking, pipelines, and any other energy projects that could harm the nation’s environment and water supply. The bill is looking to transition most fossil fuels over to cleaner energy alternatives by 2027. Lisa also wants to make sure that the coastline of Georgia is preserved and that the water and air are not contaminated by companies and corporations looking to destroy it. She proposes more funding for agencies regulating what can and can’t happen on the coast.
ENVIRONMENT – The core issue for the environment is clean water. In Georgia, 78 percent of the total water used comes from a surface water source; 22 percent comes from groundwater. The primary source for public water systems is surface water (70 percent); primary source for rural users is groundwater (over 90 percent), according to the Southern Regional Water Program. Drinking water sources are challenged as a result of septic tanks, urban runoff and agricultural and industrial operations. It is imperative that we protect the quality of drinking water for our residents. I am a strong proponent for protecting the environmental assets of our beautiful region of Georgia.
SAVANNAH PORT – The issue of port commerce and its growth is crucial to District 1. The Trump administration reduced the budget amount by $51 million from the requested $100 million requested by Georgia Congressman. I support the project and would advocate for full funding to deepen Savannah’s harbor, which provides almost 10% of the nation’s containerized cargo.
At an April 22nd candidate forum, Seidman voiced her support for putting a stop to offshore drilling.
