Broady currently does not have a position statement on climate change. On his website’s homepage, he states:
We must regulate and create a green environment for future generations and ensure that the blessing of this great nation is enjoyed by all.
When asked about his position on climate change during the April 7th town hall, Broady responded:
This is one of the most disappointing features of the Trump presidency so far. This new secretary of EPA, Mr. Pruitt, has really rolled back a lot of the regulations that helped contain all the damage that’s been done to our environment over the past 10 or 15 years.
I believe in green technology. We need to make sure that we’re providing services that have minimal impact on our environment. We need to protect our water from the waste that is deposited in it, the waste that’s deposited in our landfills. All these things are very important because we have a duty to make sure this planet, make sure this world of ours, is prepared for our prosperity. And if we don’t do that, things are going to get a lot worse.
This winter, for instance, was quite astonishing. In the month of March, we had over four Northeasterners. And a lot of that is due to our inability to protect our environment from all the harshness of industries and corporations that we have. So it’s going to be critical that we get those regulations back in place and make sure that we stop Mr. Pruitt from turning back the clock on what we already tried to do before.
